Miss USA Olivia Culpo Crowned in Miss USA 2012

Miss Rhode Island, Olivia Culpo, was crowned Miss USA on June 3, 2012 at the 2012 Miss USA pageant. Rhode Island won the Miss USA 2012 crown who is the 20-year-old cellist from and she will represent the United States in 2012 Miss Universe parade after espousal transgender beauty queens.

 

Culpo was faced with the most difficult question of the final question round this night: would it be fair meant for a person born a man to be named Miss Universe later than attractive a woman? Culpo never hesitate as she holds the Miss Universe Organization's recent result to admit transgender contestants.

"I do think that would be fair," Olivia Culpo told. "But I could understand how people could be apprehensive to take that road."

 

Olivia Culpo told she was short and chubby as a girl, but blossomed after a growth pour. She tired her summers at group camp, on stage her cello.

Miss Oregon USA Alaina Bergsma was named the most photogenic and Miss Iowa USA Rebecca Hodge was named Miss Congeniality. They won $1,000, but did not come the top 16.

The pageant at the Planet Hollywood casino on the Las Vegas Strip had three competitions: swimming suit, sundown gowns and dialogue question. In the middle through the contest, pop band Cobra Starship performed as the attractiveness queens modeled their string bikinis.

The jury panel added Chef Cat Cora, singer Joe Jonas, TV personality Arsenio Hall and reality TV star Rob Kardashian. The show also featured performances starting Akon. Giuliana Rancic and Andy Cohen stepped in to host. Alyssa Campanella Miss USA 2011 crowned Culpo her successor at the end of the night.

She represents the United States at the 61st Miss Universe pageant shortly this year. After Miss Universe since Brook Lee won the title in 1997 there is no American’s name.
